Coffee Cocktails

Coffee liqueur diverse cocktail arrangement

Life is better when you combine your favorite things. So why not mix coffee and cocktails? Coffee liqueurs, coffee and espresso either hot or cold. They all taste amazing in coffee cocktails. And the most famous of all coffee cocktails without a doubt is The Espresso Martini. But it doesn’t stop there! There’s a whole world of coffee cocktails out there that will have you buzzing and craving for more all night.

The Espresso Martini is perhaps the best, if not, the most popular coffee cocktail to emerge from the 1990s. It was created by Dick Bradsell in 1983 at the Soho brasserie in London. The story goes that a young supermodel asked for a drink to ‘wake me up and f*ck me up’. The Espresso Martini, consisting of vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso did just that. It quickly became an icon and to this day remains the most popular coffee cocktail and a staple of after-dinner ritual worldwide.

Making the Espresso Martini with an espresso Liqueur instead of a coffee liqueur will give this classic cocktail a deeper, more intense coffee flavour. Say, atouch of extravaganza! Like a well-made espresso, our Galliano Espresso liqueur has a more intense and pronounced coffee flavour compared to other coffee liqueurs.

Galliano Espresso is made with dark roasted coffee beans. Coffee beans used for an espresso are often roasted for a longer period than beans used for regular coffee. This results in a heavier, fuller flavour palate. Unlike other coffee liqueurs, Galliano Espresso is the perfect brew of two strong coffee beans. Following the top barista, a good cup of espresso is made with the best quality of Arabica and/or Robusta beans, both present in Galliano Espresso; 55%  creamy, chocolate Arabica beans and 45% strong Robusta beans.

Galliano Espresso will elevate  any coffee cocktail, like a fresh iced coffee for the perfect easy summer afternoon treat. Or a coffee old fashioned, a fantastic twist of the original old fashioned, with sweeter, dark roasted coffee notes. As you can imagine rye whisky and coffee match amazingly.
